Assignment
Working with a technical team of application repackagers and using a formal release management methodology, this candidate will be creating automated installations using packaging tools and scripting. The output of the packaging step is a standard Microsoft Installer (MSI) file compatible with the Windows operating system and with SMS. The MSI file is subsequently tested and deployed to the desktops.

Primary Responsibilities
• Repackage and test software
• Work with Business Units and application Subject Matter Experts (SME) to troubleshoot product issues
• Create and update technical documents as needed
• Communicate and coordinate product information with Desktop Management and Deployment team as needed
• Attend team meetings when appropriate and ensure that issues/risks are escalated to team lead

Required Technical Skills
• Developer-VB - 4 years experience.
• Must have strong background using Visual Basic and Visual Basic scripting
• Expert level knowledge of Windows 2000 and XP Operating Systems - 4 years experience.
• Repackaging tools - Wise Package Studio, InstallShield, HP/Novadigm - 4 years experience.
• Must have expert level experience in any/all of the tools above
• Wise Scripting, Kixtart, InstallShield - 2 years experience.
• Must be competent in any/all of the tools above
• Experience using ODBC, DAO, COM - 2 years experience.

Preferred Technical Skills
• Experience in troubleshooting Windows-based applications - 4 years experience.
• Knowledge of Active Directory - 2 years experience.
• Recent experience in Client Server environment - 2 years experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Systems Management Server - 2 years experience.
• Experience testing business processes that span hardware platforms - 2 years experience.

Education
• BS in Computer Science, Business, or related field

Certification
• MSCE preferred
