Provide primary support for Hewlett-Packard / Peregine Systems HP OpenView ServiceCenter application by performing system tailoring, configuration, and administration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, Develop and Test tailoring and configuration modifications to ServiceCenter application.
- Translate high level business requirements into detailed design specifications.
- Troubleshoot and Monitor ServiceCenter application. Includes performance, system errors, data problems, etc.
REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS:
- Must be highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter, can handle tight deadlines and multiple assignments.
- Experience following a system development methodology as applied to configuration management of ServiceCenter tailoring, configuration and administrative activities.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
REQUIRED HARD TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Javascript - 1 year experience.
- Developer-Other - 2 years experience.
- Experience with HP ServiceCenter version 6.x and above. Should have direct experience with Service Desk, Incident Management, and Configuration Management modules.
- ServiceCenter 6.x Tailoring - 2 years experience.
- Extensive experience tailoring formats, format controls, links, display options, inboxes, global lists, notifications, etc.
- Connect IT - Unix - 2 years experience.
- Experience using Connect IT to map data from external systems to Service Center tables. Experience developing, modifying, running, and monitoring scenarios in a Unix environment.
- Unix Operating System - 2 years experience.
- Experience with Unix operating system to include file browsing, editing, scripting, process monitoring, etc.
Oracle Database - 2 years experience.
- Experience with Oracle database version 9.x and above. Must be proficient using SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE.
EDUCATION:
- B.S Computer Science or related.
